AFPW facilitates and strengthens communications among an association’s CEO and Senior Staff Development - the C-Suite. Working with the 18 Fundamentals found in all associations, it provides a framework for active dialogue within the C-Suite prompting insight and opening discussion on strategic and operational opportunities and vulnerabilities.

How AFPW works

Read-in – Participants are provided the AFPW Booklet, outlining the program, explaining participant input, as well as pointing to objectives and final product.

Introduction -  A 90-minute virtual session on the purpose and functionality of the Workshop, including a tutorial on each of the 18 Fundamental, as well as guidance on post-session completion of the AFPW Workbook.

Review – The Workbooks are aggregated and summarized by the Program Director for submission to the CEO, with guidance and comment. On consideration of this report, the CEO reconvenes Introduction session participants for discussion and exchange.

Product/Result

A thorough and continuing Fundamental-by-Fundamental awareness within the C-Suite as to an association’s opportunities and vulnerabilities with shared insights on direction setting and action to be taken.
